At Ancorra Environmental, we have successfully completed our annual ‘Christmas food bank challenge,’ which enables all of our employees to take part and get involved in the festive and giving spirit. Our Christmas food bank challenge allows us to support a local charity, ‘The Big Help’ in generating food and feeding families across the UK.
The challenge consisted of our ‘Revert Advent Calendar,’ where our employees bring in an item of food required on that day. So rather than receive a gift from the advent calendar, we donated an item of food right through the whole of December. As we know, the holidays are all about giving; not just for our families, but for those in need too.
Operations and marketing coordinator Amy Davies, who came up with the idea alongside ‘The Big Help’ project, stated:
“Throughout the year we look to engage and positively contribute to the local community and various charities. With reports of the increasing need for people and families to rely on food banks, we thought ‘The Big Help’ food bank would be a worthwhile charity to support, especially over the festive period.”
Ancorra will continue to help raise money for our local charities throughout the year.
