Whether you are wanting to decommission a tank or just provide a semi-permanent solution for a redundant tank, our foam filling solutions are quick and cost effective. For tanks holding flammable material, there is no need to gas free the tanks before injecting the resin, unlike concrete or water filling. All that is required is for the tanks to be emptied of residues beforehand as the foam absorbs any hydrocarbons left present in the tank rendering the tank inert and safe.
The foam will retain its tensile strength ensuring that no depression or void spaces will occur but if you choose to remove the tank at a future date, it is easier and cheaper to dispose of as the foam weighs only 25kg per 1000 litres. Alternatively, depending on the original condition of the tank, the foam can be easily taken out for the tank in order for it to be put back into service.
